Wests Tigers prop Terrell May has openly expressed that lucrative offers from Rugby 360 could entice him away from the NRL. May, recognized as one of the top props in the competition during 2025, stated that players would be "stupid" not to consider the financial incentives presented by the Saudi Arabian-backed league should it relaunch in 2028.
While he was never directly linked to the competition and confirmed he was not approached, he acknowledged his willingness to make the switch. "No, they never approached me, but if they did, I would have left... 100 per cent," May revealed during an episode of the Kairouz Brothers Podcast.
May emphasized that the prospect of a $3 million annual salary, along with tax exemptions and a condensed 12-week season, is hard to ignore. Despite these attractive conditions, he clarified that he would not consider breaching his existing contract to join another league prematurely. "Personally, I wouldn't. I would finish out my contract and then go. I'm not going to leave straight away," he stated when questioned about leaving before fulfilling his current obligations.
He further highlighted his commitment to loyalty, saying, "One of my main priorities is loyalty, so if you have my loyalty and respect, I would do anything for you."
This discussion follows the recent release of Parramatta Eels winger Zac Lomax, who was freed to join the competition that was initially slated for a 2026 launch, but has now been postponed to 2028.
