For the upcoming 2025 NRL season, a new feature has been introduced. Teams will be ranked based on their performances each week, starting from the previous season's final standings.
While the results won't align with the official 2025 NRL ladder, they will provide a different perspective on each team's performance throughout the season.
Last year's finishing order: 1. Storm, 2. Panthers, 3. Roosters, 4. Sharks, 5. Cowboys, 6. Bulldogs, 7. Sea Eagles, 8. Knights, 9. Raiders, 10. Dolphins, 11. Dragons, 12. Broncos, 13. Warriors, 14. Titans, 15. Eels, 16. Rabbitohs, 17. Tigers
The Panthers traveled to Newcastle on an impressive eight-game winning streak to face the Knights. They wasted no time, with their forwards scoring the first two tries; Luke Garner found success after just two minutes, followed shortly by Lindsay Smith capitalizing on a missed opportunity. The momentum continued as Liam Henry scored, leading to a dominant 26-0 halftime score for the Panthers. Unlike their previous match against the Titans, Penrith maintained their intensity in the second half, adding four more tries despite allowing a couple of late tries, solidifying their stance for a Top 4 finish.
The Raiders faced the Sea Eagles in frigid weather, eager to rebound from an unexpected defeat to the Dragons. After conceding an early try, the Raiders regained their composure with an impressive short-range score from Ethan Strange, who dazzled with a quick step. Following another score by Xavier Savage, they led 10-6 at halftime. In the second half, despite Manly briefly taking the lead, Strange showcased his prowess again with a quick score. He sealed his hat trick shortly after with a stellar assist from winger Jed Stuart. In the dying minutes, Seb Kris picked up a loose ball and raced away, concluding the victory for Canberra.
