NRL club leaves Knights playmaker in armor

An NRL outfit has reportedly given the cold shoulder to a potential move for 2023 Grand Final champ and current Newcastle Knights playmaker Jack Cogger.

After a stellar season with the Penrith Panthers in 2023, where he filled in admirably for Jarome Luai and Nathan Cleary, Cogger's fortunes took a turn for the worse last year with the Knights.

Touted as the solution to the club's halves headache, he found himself shuffling between the starting halves, the bench, and the NSW Cup.

This lack of stability affected his form and hindered his ability to develop any solid partnerships with Jackson Hastings, Tyson Gamble, and Will Pryce.
