An NRL club is reportedly in "advanced talks" to recruit off-contract lock forward Jesse Colquhoun from the Cronulla Sharks, amidst interest from at least six other teams. This move aims to secure Colquhoun's services as the club looks to strengthen its roster.

At just 24 years old, Colquhoun is recognized as one of the most underrated forwards in rugby league. Although he has played fewer than 30 matches, his performances suggest he has the potential to become a prominent star in the NRL.

Despite facing several injury challenges, particularly concerning his knees, The Daily Telegraph indicates that Colquhoun is in "advanced talks" with the newest expansion club as it seeks to enhance its lineup.

"It's always tough. You always have those personal battles behind closed doors, but we are such a strong club here and have such strong connections, which makes it easy to get through, especially those tough times," Colquhoun remarked.

He continued, "Everyone's here to pick you up and keep you going." Colquhoun also acknowledged the support from his family, stating, "I'm sure with a lot of the boys, they wouldn't be here without their family, and I'm the exact same. They drive me to training, pick me up when I can't drive and do everything for me."
