Dolphins star Tesi Niu has made a bold move by announcing his decision to head over to the English Super League in 2025, linking up with the Leigh Leopards.

The former Brisbane Bronco, known for his versatility in the positions of centre, wing, or fullback, found himself on the sidelines for much of the 2025 season under the watchful eye of coach Wayne Bennett.

Niu faced tough competition within the team, with injuries hampering his chances and limiting him to just seven appearances on the field.

Rising star Jack Bostock, who snagged the Dally M Rookie of the Year award, and the dynamic duo of Jamayne Isaako and Herbie Farnworth pushed Niu further down the pecking order.

After becoming a free agent at the conclusion of the 2024 season, Niu spilled the beans exclusively to Zero Tackle about his impending move to the Super League.

His three-year deal with the Leigh Leopards sets his sights on staying with the club until the end of the 2027 season, marking a new chapter in his rugby league journey.
