Sir Peter Leitch, known as the "Mad Butcher," is among the first figures honoured in the New Zealand Warriors' new Hall of Fame.
The Warriors recognised four inaugural inductees at their annual awards presentation, where chief executive Cameron George announced the initiative.
"After more than 30 years in existence, the time is right for us as a club to honour and celebrate people who have made an extraordinary and enduring contribution to the One New Zealand Warriors," he said.
Inductions will consider significant contribution, honour and character, loyalty and commitment, and going above and beyond.
Leitch has supported the club since its 1995 formation and became an unofficial "19th man" after the Warriors retired jersey number 19 in 2001.
Stacey Jones, nicknamed "the little general," played 261 matches after debuting in the inaugural 1995 season. His achievements also earned him induction as member 109 of the NRL Hall of Fame.
Simon Mannering holds the Warriors' appearance record, playing 301 matches across 14 seasons as a one-club player. Since his 2018 retirement, the club's player-of-the-year award has carried his name.
