In a classic comeback story, former NRL powerhouse Kane Evans has joined forces with a new team for the 2024 season and made quite the impression in his club debut last weekend.

After a solid career in the NRL, where he donned the jerseys of the Parramatta Eels, Sydney Roosters, and New Zealand Warriors, Evans took his talents to the Super League for a two-year stint.

Unfortunately, his time in the NRL ended on a sour note with the infamous 'wrist tape incident' that led to a couple of sin-bins in his final games before his release.

Now, the seasoned Fijian international has found a new home with the Glebe Dirty Reds in the Ron Massey Cup, a team closely linked with the Sydney Roosters.

His comeback game last weekend marked his return to the rugby league field after parting ways with Hull FC in the midst of the previous season.

With his experience and tenacity, Evans is sure to bring a new dynamic to his new team and make waves in the Ron Massey Cup.

Fans can expect some hard hits, strong runs, and solid defense from this seasoned pro as he seeks to make his mark in the Australian rugby league scene once again.
