Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has given an injury update on his star halfback, Nathan Cleary, as the NRL teams gear up for round 7.

The young Cleary was set to make his long-awaited return from a hamstring injury this weekend against the Wests Tigers, but it seems fans will have to wait just a bit longer.

In true sporting fashion, Ivan Cleary has assured everyone that Nathan's setback is just a minor delay in the grand scheme of things.

"No he's not.

Not this week.

He's going well," Cleary commented, adding, "You have to respect that."

Despite the disappointment of not seeing Cleary back in action this week, the Panthers are optimistic about his return next week.

"He could probably play this week but until he does more training...

he's going well," Cleary reassured.

Meanwhile, over in Titans territory, another injury blow has rocked the team, with a star player facing a month on the sidelines.
