NRL veteran Kevin Naiqama is rumored to be eyeing a comeback to the NRL after a stint in the Super League overseas.
Reports from zerotackle.com suggest that the experienced player is considering a return with the Newcastle Knights, potentially on a second-tier deal.
Barry Toohey from The Newcastle Herald shared the news on social media that Naiqama has piqued the interest of the Knights.
"Not sure what Sione (Mata'utia) is going to do but did hear a whisper Kevin Naiqama, who has been at Huddersfield, was considering a second tier deal to return to the Knights to mentor the young blokes in reggies next year."
Naiqama, now 35 years old, is no stranger to the Knights as he began his NRL career with them.
With 15 games under his belt across four seasons, he has also played for four Sydney-based NRL teams in the past.
The potential return of this journeyman could provide valuable experience and guidance to the younger players in the Knights squad.
