Murphy wary of Tigers' bite despite underdog status

'Anyone can beat anyone': Murphy not taking Tigers lightly despite favouritism

Karyn Murphy, the Titans' coach, is well aware that in Rugby League, 'anyone can beat anyone'.

She knows that the Wests Tigers, despite their recent struggles, have the potential to be a 'sleeping giant' waiting to awaken.

This Saturday, when the Tigers face off against the Titans at Cbus Super Stadium, Murphy expects them to be hungry for a win.

In their first game of the season, the Tigers suffered a major setback against the Raiders, trailing by a significant margin at halftime.

However, they regrouped in the second half and managed to narrow the gap, ultimately losing 32-12.

On the other hand, the Titans are riding high after a confident 18-10 victory over the Dragons in Wollongong.

Despite their recent success, Murphy is not underestimating the Tigers.

She understands that in Rugby League, anything can happen, and the level of competition in 2024 has been raised.

With teams becoming more equal and unpredictable, the Titans will need to be at the top of their game to secure another win.
