Munster Seeks Advice Amid Five-Game Loss

Cameron Munster is coming to terms with the Storm's recent struggles, having lost five consecutive matches, and is determined to reverse their fortunes.

While attending the Origin series launch at the MCG alongside coaches Laurie Daley and Billy Slater, the Storm's five-eighth reached out to his rival and Kangaroos teammate, Isaah Yeo, for insights into Penrith's turnaround last season.

At one point, the Panthers found themselves at the bottom of the standings by Round 12 but managed an impressive recovery, ultimately finishing seventh and narrowly missing a sixth consecutive grand final appearance.

In an interview with NRL.com, Munster elaborated on his exchange with Yeo.

"I was speaking to Yeoie about it just before and they had something similar last year," Munster shared during the Origin launch.

"I'll hopefully never in my life again lose five in a row, but this (Origin) probably heightens that pressure a little bit more in a way."

Yeo offered understanding regarding Munster's predicament, noting that the Panthers are still reflecting on the lessons from their past defeats.

"I know what he is going through just from last year and it's not nice," Yeo remarked.

"The lessons you can learn from it, and we are still learning at the moment, they can put you in good stead for the future. But it is not much fun when you are going through it."
