Munster Rumors Resurface Despite Storm Loyalty

The speculation surrounding Cameron Munster continues as he remains a target for R360, a Saudi Arabian-backed rugby union league that promises lucrative deals far exceeding what NRL clubs can provide.

Reports emerged in October identifying Munster as part of a 'hit list' that the league had compiled, which includes numerous NRL players. Recent information from News Corp indicates that recruitment executives from R360 have formally approached Munster as they scout for prominent NRL talent to bolster their new global competition.

While Munster has not shown any public interest in joining R360, he is not isolated in facing overtures from this rebel league. Recently released teammate Ryan Papenhuyzen has received significant offers, while former Parramatta Eels player Zac Lomax was let go to explore opportunities beyond the NRL. Additionally, Payne Haas is reportedly weighing a $3 million annual offer to switch codes to the rugby union format that R360 promotes, despite Australian Rugby League Commission chairman Peter V'Landys consistently criticizing the league.

Despite V'Landys' condemnation, concerns persist about the potential for the NRL to lose several of its key players to this burgeoning competition.
