In-form halves Cameron Munster and Tom Dearden are set to play together for Queensland for the first time, with Munster eager for a successful partnership.

According to nrl.com.au, Dearden filled in for an injured Munster as five-eighth alongside captain Daly Cherry-Evans last year and also debuted in Game Three of 2022 under similar circumstances when Munster was sidelined due to COVID.

After undergoing hip surgeries in the off-season, Munster has returned to peak performance with the Storm, now free from the injuries that caused him to miss last year's State of Origin series.

With both players thriving in their respective clubs, coach Billy Slater has successfully incorporated all three halves into the lineup for the opening game at Suncorp Stadium.
