In a move that has set tongues wagging in the Rugby League world, former Parramatta Eels winger Lorenzo Mulitalo has inked a deal with a new team for the 2025 season.

The brother of Cronulla Sharks star Ronaldo Mulitalo, Lorenzo will be lacing up for the Burleigh Bears in the QLD Cup next year.

The Bears, affiliated with the Brisbane Broncos, are looking to bounce back after finishing seventh in the 2024 season.

With key re-signings like Sam Coster and Guy Hamilton, they are aiming to snatch the title away from the Norths Devils.

This switch follows Mulitalo's departure from the Eels, alongside ten other players including Daejarn Asi, Ofahiki Ogden, Makahesi Makatoa, Morgan Harper, and Isaac Lumelume.

The 24-year-old speedster made his NRL debut this year against the Gold Coast Titans after cutting his teeth in the Ron Massey Cup and NSW Cup competitions.

Mulitalo's move to the Bears is set to inject some fresh talent and excitement into the team as they chase glory in the upcoming season.

Rugby League fans will be eager to see how this dynamic winger adapts to his new surroundings and makes his mark in the Queensland competition.
