Sharks winger Ronaldo Mulitalo has shared the challenges he faced when he moved from New Zealand to Australia as a teenager to pursue his NRL dream.

Despite the sacrifices he made to achieve his goal, Mulitalo acknowledges the pain of being away from his family.

He made his NRL debut in 2019 after six years of hard work, and has since become a regular in the Kiwis line up.

Although he missed out on last year's Pacific Championships due to injury, Mulitalo is determined to make a comeback to the international arena at the end of the current season.

As the Sharks gear up to take on the Raiders during Multicultural Round, Mulitalo's story highlights the importance of representing his family and culture on and off the field.

He feels a strong connection to his heritage, stating, "Culture is still strong".

Mulitalo has not forgotten his roots, representing both America and Samoa earlier in his career before solidifying his place in the New Zealand team.

He is looking forward to competing in the upcoming tournament against New Zealand, Samoa, and Tonga, as Australia faces off against England in an Ashes series.

Despite the challenges along the way, Mulitalo remains committed to flying the flag for his family back home while making a name for himself in the NRL.
