The NRL community found itself divided after Mitchell Moses was seen in a heated moment with teammate Tallyn Da Silva. Veteran commentator Andrew Voss remarked that this scenario is something the young player will need to handle as part of the game. Da Silva struggled after coming on as a dummy half during Parramatta's nail-biting 19-18 victory over North Queensland, a win that Moses capped off with a field goal in the final moments.

Despite Moses being the hero, fans discussed his intense reactions toward Da Silva, particularly following the young hooker's mistakes. In a critical moment with the score tied at 18-18 and only ten minutes remaining, Da Silva attempted to score on the last tackle instead of passing to the playmaker. This misstep infuriated Moses, who was visibly upset and shouted at his teammate in one of the most intense reprimands seen on the field. Commentator Michael Ennis noted, "Oh boy, he'll get a conversation from Moses for that."

The situation worsened for Da Silva, whose inadequate service from dummy half led to several crucial errors, piling more pressure on the team. With just under three minutes left and Parramatta leading by a point, another wayward pass from Da Silva prompted another outburst from Moses, as it led to the Eels losing possession. Moses, aiming to maintain control and secure another set of tackles, expressed his frustration again when Da Silva mishandled a pass, putting the game in jeopardy. Fortunately for the Eels, a potential game-winning try by Jake Clifford was ruled out due to interference on Moses, allowing them to retain their slim lead.
