Australian basketball star Patty Mills was seen cheering on the Brisbane Broncos in their NRL preliminary final win over the New Zealand Warriors.

Mills, who was wearing a Broncos jersey, was spotted in the stands at Suncorp Stadium, visibly excited as he supported his team to a 42-12 victory.

Fox League commentator Andrew Voss acknowledged Mills' presence, stating, "Patty Mills, they're all here, they all want to hop on the bandwagon but he's been a lifetime Broncos fan." This revelation may have surprised some fans, considering Mills' Canberra origins.

Despite being born and raised in the nation's capital, Mills has shown his allegiance to the Broncos, showing his passion for rugby league.

The sight of Mills supporting the team has sparked a "bromance" between him and NRL legend Jonathan Thurston, who also expressed his delight at the Broncos' success.

With the NBA off-season coming to an end, Mills took the opportunity to watch his favorite team in action before returning to the United States.

The Broncos' victory has secured their place in the NRL Grand Final, marking their first appearance in the season decider since 2015.
