Lewis set to light up Vegas after inking new Hull KR deal

Star English playmaker Mikey Lewis is poised to create excitement at Allegiant Stadium next February, having signed a new five-year contract with Hull KR, the reigning Super League minor premiers.

Lewis has chosen to stay at Sewell Group Craven Park until the conclusion of the 2030 season, turning down offers from the NRL in his pursuit of aiding Hull KR in achieving the prestigious Super League-Challenge Cup double.

After an impressive season where he won the 2024 Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel award, guiding Hull KR to their first-ever Super League grand final, Lewis has a chance to make history by becoming just the third player to secure the award twice.

The 24-year-old is nominated for the 2025 Man of Steel alongside Wigan's Jai Field and Jake O'Connor from Leeds Rhinos, who will face Hull KR in Las Vegas on February 28.

The Super League clash is set to take place prior to the NRL double-header, featuring opening fixtures between the Cowboys and Knights, as well as the Bulldogs and Dragons.

Hull KR's head coach Willie Peters emphasized the importance of securing Lewis on a long-term contract, noting its significance for both Hull KR and the Super League.
