Brake expecting, first NRLW season has ended
CEO Cameron George of the New Zealand Warriors announced that winger Michaela Brake will be unavailable for the remainder of the NRLW season as she is expecting her first child.
The 29-year-old participated in the first four rounds of the season but has not played recently due to personal matters.
She shared her pregnancy news with teammates and staff on Wednesday night.
Brake debuted in rugby league when she played her first NRLW match for the Warriors against the Roosters on July 6.
Throughout her four games, she scored tries against both the Eels and the Knights, averaging 133 metres per game and achieving a total of 29 tackle breaks.
