In a thrilling comeback tale fit for the history books, former Origin star Michael Jennings has been given the nod by the NRL to return to the big leagues.
Last seen on the field in 2020, Jennings made a triumphant return to rugby league earlier this year after coach Trent Robinson threw him a lifeline, offering him a train-and-trial contract with the Sydney Roosters.
With nearly 300 NRL games under his belt between 2007 and 2020 for the Penrith Panthers, Roosters, and Parramatta Eels, Jennings is no stranger to the rough and tumble world of professional rugby league.
A true warrior on the field, he proudly represented New South Wales 18 times, donned the green and gold jersey for Australia on seven occasions, and also wore the Tonga jersey with pride in 12 international appearances.
Now at the seasoned age of 35, Jennings has earned his stripes and secured a spot on the club's Top 30 roster after the NRL gave him the all-clear to make a full return.
His standout performances in the NSW Cup did not go unnoticed, as reported by News Corp.

It's a simple tale of redemption," remarked coach Trent Robinson at a recent press conference, highlighting Jennings's commitment to reclaiming his rightful place in the world of rugby league.
