Metcalf Third on Dally M Ladder
Luke Metcalf of the NZ Warriors has moved to third equal on the Dally M leaderboard, thanks to his recent performances.
In the Warriors' gritty 15-14 win over the Dragons in Wollongong, captain Mitchell Barnett collected four points, while Metcalf earned three points, bringing his total to 24.
He is now tied with Sydney Roosters fullback James Tedesco and sits behind Cronulla's Will Kennedy (29 points) and Wests Tigers prop Terrell May (26 points).
Metcalf has been impressive, accumulating 15 points in his last three games, including a maximum of six points in wins over Newcastle and North Queensland.
In the match against the Dragons, he contributed significantly by scoring in multiple ways: a try, a conversion, two penalties, and the decisive field goal.
Additionally, he assisted winger Taine Tuaupiki with a try in the first half.
The contributions of Barnett and loose forward Erin Clark, who also received three points for his performance, were crucial in the tough battle in the middle of the field.
