Melbourne Storm's Jersey Flegg dream dashed by Eagles

Junior Rep Report: Round 18

In a tough Jersey Flegg battle between Melbourne Storm and the Manly Sea Eagles, it was the latter who came out on top with a 20-16 victory at 4 Pines Park.

Despite Storm scoring more tries, missed conversions proved costly as the Sea Eagles managed to grind out a win.

The Sea Eagles had a strong start, scoring two tries early on to take an 18-4 lead.

However, Storm's Siulagi Pio turned the tide with a powerful run and try in the 21st minute, sparking a comeback for the visitors.

Unfortunately, Storm suffered a setback when hooker Gabriel Satrick was forced off for a Head Injury Assessment, and Brayden Seu-Easthope had to step up in his absence.

Just like Manly did in the first half, Storm came out firing after the break, scoring a quick try through Matthew Hill to narrow the Sea Eagles' lead to six points.

But despite their best efforts, Storm couldn't quite catch up to the Sea Eagles, who held on for the win.

It was a hard-fought contest, with both teams giving it their all on the field.

In the end, it was the Sea Eagles who emerged victorious, but Storm showed plenty of spirit and determination throughout the game.

They'll be looking to bounce back in their next match and show the rest of the competition what they're made of.
