In a bid to free their enforcer to play in the grand final, Melbourne Storm will take on the NRL judiciary in a fast-tracked hearing to contest Nelson Asofa-Solomona's four-match suspension.
Prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona will appear in person at the NRL judiciary hearing on Monday night, as the Storm fight to have him cleared for the biggest game of the season.
The Storm have recruited judiciary whisperer Nick Ghabar to tackle the challenge, but it will be an uphill battle as Asofa-Solomona would need a double downgrade to be eligible for the decider.
Asofa-Solomona's high shot on Roosters prop Lindsay Collins just 19 seconds into the preliminary final clash left Collins concussed and unable to continue playing.
Melbourne officials were left shocked and disappointed by the charge sheet, especially after the match review committee took into account Collins' injury before making a decision.
