Melbourne Storm has been actively engaging with the Wurundjeri community following the incidents on ANZAC Day and has issued an apology to those affected. The club extends this apology to the First Nations as well as Māori and Pasifika communities that were impacted.

In an effort to foster community connections and adhere to cultural protocols, the Club will acknowledge the traditional owners of the land during an Acknowledgment of Country on Thursday night in honor of Indigenous Round.

Indigenous Round offers a chance to celebrate the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players who have proudly represented the club. It also underscores the club's dedication to creating a respectful and celebratory environment for First Nations cultures-not just during this event, but throughout the entire year.

Melbourne Storm thrives on the diversity of its many cultures, especially its long-standing relationships with First Nations and Māori and Pasifika communities. The club is committed to ensuring that its social and community programs continue to have a beneficial impact.

This week, the Club will also unveil the story and design of its 2025 Indigenous Jersey.
