Sharks forwards Wade Graham and Braden Hamlin-Uele have expressed their admiration for Cameron McInnes' outstanding defensive performance, but they hope they won't have to witness their teammate making a similar number of tackles in the future.

McInnes set a new NRL record by making a staggering 81 tackles during their recent 28-0 loss to the Panthers.

However, Hamlin-Uele acknowledges that individual records, no matter how impressive, do not guarantee a premiership.

As they prepare for a crucial Round 23 encounter against the Rabbitohs, who are currently one spot ahead of Cronulla on the ladder, the Samoan prop has promised that the team will display the same level of determination and resilience as McInnes did.

He emphasized that the heart and commitment of all 17 players will be on full display when they take the field at Optus Stadium on Saturday night.
