May's Trust: From Stream to Dream for NSW Blues

State of Origin: Terrell May wants to earn NSW Blues' trust after Twitch stream comments

Terrell May, a promising prop in the NRL, faced setbacks in his State of Origin ambitions after making light comments during a Twitch stream.

Initially seen as a strong candidate to join Payne Haas and Mitch Barnett for NSW, his chances diminished as reports indicated he was further down the selection order.

During a Call Of Duty stream, May jokingly told a friend about a Blues jersey he had purchased, "Chuck it in the bin," and even teased about switching allegiances.

These off-the-cuff remarks proved detrimental, attracting criticism from former coach Brad Fittler, who labeled them "pathetic" and advised May to "humble up." Following the confirmation of his exclusion from the Blues team, May reflected on his comments, acknowledging he "never should have said that." He clarified that his remarks were intended as a joke between friends, specifically to a Queensland supporter.

This incident underscores the importance of mindfulness, particularly for athletes who share their thoughts on public platforms.

Despite the setback, May remains determined to earn the trust of the NSW Blues and demonstrate his value on the field.
