May's NRL Comeback: A Game-Changer Ahead?

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

Taylan May, the talented Samoan international and former Penrith Panthers outside back, is reportedly on the verge of returning to the NRL after receiving treatment for mental health issues at a private facility.

According to zerotackle.com, May has made significant progress since his career was paused due to an alleged off-field incident.

He played 30 matches for the Panthers and represented Samoa in the 2022 Rugby League World Cup (RLWC).

Earlier this year, ARLC Chairman Peter V'landys stated, "he's free to play," confirming that all domestic violence charges against May have been withdrawn.

His situation changed after his player manager, Ahmad Merhi, revealed in April that May had decided to put his rugby league career on hold to focus on personal matters.

Now, as May inches closer to a return, his management has reportedly reached out to several clubs to explore potential signing opportunities for the Samoan international.
