In Round 8 of the 2025 NRL season, Terrell May solidified his lead in Zero Tackle's NRL MVP race, gaining unanimous recognition as one of the five best players.

May's standout performance brings him closer to a State of Origin selection.

He was joined by Adam Reynolds, who orchestrated Brisbane's overwhelming victory over South Sydney, Sandon Smith, whose impressive play contributed to the Sydney Roosters' Anzac Day win against St.

George Illawarra Dragons, Eliesa Katoa from the Melbourne Storm, and Tom Dearden, who assisted five tries in North Queensland's decisive win over the Gold Coast Titans.

Additionally, several other players received recognition as man of the match by at least one judge, including Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Luke Metcalf for the New Zealand Warriors, Haumole Olakau'atu and Daly Cherry-Evans for the Manly Sea Eagles, and Hudson Young and Jamal Fogarty.

With a perfect score of 20, May now leads the MVP race by 17 votes over Payne Haas, who earned a score of 16 by receiving fours from each judge in Round 8.
