May shakes Gould's hand, making Tigers' Origin future

Phil Gould recently praised Terrell May, a powerful prop for the Wests Tigers, nearly signing him for the Bulldogs over a year and a half ago.

Gould believes May is showing State of Origin potential, stating on his podcast, "Six Tackles with Gus," that May is producing "Origin-like benchmarks" in the early 2025 NRL season.

Despite being released by the Roosters last year, May has excelled with the Tigers, averaging 183 run metres and 39 tackles per game under Benji Marshall.

Gould commended May's growth, saying, "Terrell May is a late maturer...

He's every chance of playing for NSW, from what he's done the last couple of weeks and what he did last year." May's impressive performance has caught the attention of Gould and other NRL observers, positioning him as a potential future representative player for New South Wales in State of Origin matches.
