Max Bradbury, a former under-19 State of Origin player, has left the Cronulla Sharks after a three-year stint with the club.

The prop, who transitioned from the Newcastle Knights in a player exchange that sent now-Super League fullback Lachlan Miller to Newcastle, did not manage to secure any first-grade appearances with the Sharks and was not offered a new contract when his deal expired at the end of 2025.

At just 21 years old, Bradbury will pursue his rugby league career with the Tweed Heads Seagulls, who recently announced his signing for the upcoming Queensland Cup season.

Throughout his career, Bradbury has made 27 appearances in the NSW Cup, with 25 of those games played for the Newtown Jets. He debuted at this level with the Newcastle Knights, starting at age 18 in 2022.

In 2025, he made 18 appearances for Newtown, showcasing his skills but not drawing interest from NRL clubs.

Now, Bradbury aims to break into first-grade while with Tweed Heads, with a possibility of being considered for the Gold Coast Titans. The Seagulls, along with the Ipswich Jets, have connections with the Titans, allowing them to provide players for pre-season training and potential spots in NRL games if injuries occur.
