Rugby League Tough Guy Makes Call on Future in the Game

Manu Ma'u, a former NRL hard man and stalwart second-rower for the Parramatta Eels, has reportedly made a crucial decision about his rugby league future.

Having last graced the NRL turf in 2019, Mau' has spent the last five seasons battling it out in the Super League arena with Hull FC (2020-22) and Catalan Dragons (2023-).

Since his debut in 2014, Ma'u has left his mark on the game, appearing in 115 matches for the Parramatta Eels and putting up an impressive 62 points before bidding the club farewell at the end of the 2019 season.

A true warrior on the field, Ma'u was honored with the Ken Thornett Medal for the Eels' Player's Player of the Year in 2016.

His grit and determination also saw him don the jerseys of Tonga in 11 games and the New Zealand Kiwis six times.

According to reports from French publication L'Independant, Ma'u has decided not to renew his contract with the Catalan Dragons once the 2025 season draws to a close.

The rugby league world waits with bated breath to see where this fearless competitor's next chapter will lead him.
