The 'Cheese' has really come into his own this season, showing great maturity and finding the perfect balance between his attacking prowess and the role of a playmaker for the Roosters.

In 2023, Smith struggled to find his place in the team, feeling like a fish out of water in a new system that didn't quite suit his style of play.

But in 2024, he has grown into the role, understanding when to take charge with his running game and when to feed the ball to his halves.

Coming from the Melbourne Storm where he served as both a ball-running hooker and a hard-hitting forward, Smith had to adjust to a different style of play at the Roosters, stepping into the shoes of the tackling machine Jake Friend.

Despite his efforts, a thumb injury in round 12 sidelined him for two months, further hindering his ability to fully express himself on the field.

But now, with a full season under his belt and a newfound confidence in his abilities, Smith is shining for the Roosters.

He has found his voice in team meetings and on the field, leading by example and showing his resilience in the face of adversity.

The 'Cheese' has truly matured into a key player for his team, and his growth throughout the season is evident in his performances on the field.

With his newfound confidence and maturity, the sky's the limit for Brandon Smith in the Rugby League world.
