Matt Dufty Seeks New Club After Leaving Warrington

Former NRL player Matt Dufty is on the lookout for a new club as he appears ready to leave the Warrington Wolves after a challenging season.

According to All Out Rugby League, during the club's end-of-season review, Dufty was informed that he could seek other opportunities following a disappointing year that saw the Wolves fail to qualify for the playoffs.

Dufty's relationship with the club began to deteriorate mid-season when he was dropped by coach Sam Burgess due to tardiness at a training session.

He was unable to regain his position as fullback and ended the season playing at centre.

Despite still being under contract, the Wolves are allegedly preparing for his departure.

As reported by the Warrington Guardian, Dufty has already lost the starting No.1 jersey to promising young player Cai Taylor-Wray, who is being prioritized as the team looks ahead to 2026.

This shift marks a significant change for Dufty, who was considered one of Warrington's top performers in 2024, earning a spot in the Super League Dream Team during a successful campaign under former coach Daryl Powell.
