Queensland Maroons coach Billy Slater has announced his squad for the upcoming Game One of the 2025 Ampol State of Origin series against the Westpac NSW Blues, scheduled for May 28 in Brisbane.
The team features three debutants: Roosters centre Robert Toia, Titans back-rower Beau Fermor, and Storm edge forward Trent Loiero.
According to nrl.com.au, all three players have previously participated in Queensland's emerging pathways squads and youth representative teams.
Toia, in particular, has made a striking impact after debuting in Round 1 of the 2025 NRL season against the Broncos.
The 20-year-old has showcased his skill and agility, performing commendably in ten matches for the Roosters.
Additionally, Kurt Mann, Jesse Arthars, and Kulikefu Finefeuiaki have also been included in the Maroons' extended squad, putting them a step closer to their own Origin debuts.
