In-form halves Cameron Munster and Tom Dearden are set to play together for the first time in the Queensland Maroons, as reported by melbournestorm.com.au.

Munster expressed his hope that this pairing will mark the beginning of a successful collaboration in the future.

Dearden previously stepped in for Munster as five-eighth during last year's Origin series due to Munster's injury, and he also played a significant role in Game Three of 2022 when Munster was sidelined by COVID.

After undergoing surgeries on both hips during the off-season, Munster is now in top form with the Melbourne Storm, shaking off the injuries that plagued him, including a torn adductor tendon that caused him to miss last year's Origin series.

With both players excelling in their club performances, coach Billy Slater found a way to integrate all three halves into the Maroons squad for the opening match at Suncorp Stadium.
