The Queensland Maroons have announced that both Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Harry Grant are set to play in Game 1 of the 2025 State of Origin series, despite recent injury concerns.
Reports indicated that Tabuai-Fidow experienced a 'knee knock' during a training session on the Sunshine Coast, causing some alarm within the Maroons camp.
However, the medical staff determined that the injury was not serious, allowing him to continue preparing for the game.
Coach Billy Slater confirmed Tabuai-Fidow's availability, acknowledging the brief scare the injury caused him.
"A little bit of a scare the other day, I must admit I held my breath for a couple of seconds, but just got a bit of a bump," Slater shared during a press conference at the state's captain's run on Tuesday.
Both players are now ready to contribute to the team's efforts in the highly anticipated match.
