Marc Tannous: Rising Tiger Inspired by Family

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

Marc Tannous is a promising young talent emerging from the Wests Tigers system. The playmaker has shared insights into his rugby league journey as he remains eager for his chances in upcoming seasons.

In an effort to recover from three consecutive last-place finishes, Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson and head coach Benji Marshall are focusing on players from their pathways system to shape the club's future.

In the last three years, several players, including Jahream Bula, Kit Laulilii, Heath Mason, Luke Laulilii, Tony Sukkar, and the recently departed Lachlan Galvin, Tallyn Da Silva, and Jordan Miller, have made their first-grade debuts after successfully transitioning from lower grades.

As these players vie for consistent positions in the first-grade team, a fresh wave of talent is also beginning to emerge in the junior representative competitions of the club's pathways teams.

Among these new prospects is Tannous, who trained with the NRL squad during the pre-season and has since participated in both the SG Ball Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup competitions this year.

"It's unreal (wearing the Tigers jersey), especially when you've lived in Concord all your life and you've been a Tigers fan since knee-high," Tannous told Zero Tackle.
