Manly Sea Eagles head coach Anthony Seibold has announced that Reuben Garrick's season is likely finished following a shoulder injury sustained during their recent defeat to the Wests Tigers. This poor performance marks one of the club's worst outings this year, with their chances of reaching the finals now almost nonexistent, especially as many key players were already sidelined.
Garrick, who has played as both a centre and wing while serving as the team's primary goal kicker, has been added to the growing list of injured players after he reportedly heard a crack in his shoulder during a tackle. "He gets a scan tomorrow, but it doesn't look great. Obviously, you would have seen the replays. He got his shoulder into an awkward position and he heard a crack," Seibold commented about Garrick in a post-match press conference.
He added, "It doesn't look great. I'd say so [season over]. We just hope it's not too serious that it then eats into the pre-season and the start of next season."
