Manly's star fullback, Tom Trbojevic, has once again fallen victim to the injury curse, this time suffering a hamstring blow in a heart-stopping moment against the Dolphins.
In a seesaw battle, the Sea Eagles surged ahead in the 62nd minute courtesy of a pinpoint penalty goal from Reuben Garrick.
But just moments later, their lead was shattered as the Dolphins hit back, with Jack Bostock diving over in the corner to make it 28-24.
Trbojevic, who had earlier shrugged off a questionable tackle, made a desperate attempt to stop Bostock but ended up colliding with a cameraman in a collision reminiscent of a fullback diving to make a last-ditch tackle.
The injury-plagued star now faces another agonizing spell on the sidelines as Manly fans hold their breath and hope for a swift recovery.
