The Manly Sea Eagles have made headlines as they enter the November free agency period, focusing on executive changes rather than player swaps in their quest to return to the finals by 2026.

Chief Executive Officer Tony Mestrov has announced his resignation, concluding a three-year leadership at the club based in Northern Beaches.

Mestrov will continue in his position until December 19 to ensure a smooth transition, with the club releasing a statement about this development on Tuesday morning.

Chairman Scott Penn commended Mestrov's impact since taking the helm in 2022, noting that his leadership has significantly enhanced the club's off-field operations.

"Tony has been CEO for just over three years and I can say that the club is on a much stronger footing than when he started," Penn said in a club statement.

"Tony has overseen the successful growth of commercial revenues, memberships and ticket sales, while at the same time helping to transform the culture of the office teams."

Penn also expressed gratitude for Mestrov's commitment and the lasting legacy he leaves, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
