Despite rumors that he might miss the game against Canberra, Garrick played and excelled, celebrating his tries with a 'rock the baby' gesture.
He later confirmed that Riley had given birth to a baby girl named Elsie, expressing gratitude to his fiancee, midwives, and doctors.
This special moment also connected him with Tyran Wishart, Riley's brother and son of Dragons legend Rod.
Both players started in the Dragons' system and are from the Illawarra area, where Rod and the Wishart family still reside.
