Manly's Nathan Brown embroiled in legal dispute over "unpaid debts" to former player agent

In a story that has all the drama of a last-minute try, Manly player Nathan Brown is facing a hefty $200,000 bill over alleged "unpaid fees" to his former player agent, Isaac Moses.

Reports from news.com.au have revealed that Moses, the head honcho at player management company Cove Agency, is taking Brown to court over claims that he failed to cough up for the work done securing his contracts with Parramatta in 2019 and 2020.

Brown, who brought Moses on board as his agent in a maneuver reminiscent of a clever sidestep, cut ties with him in October 2020.

Now, Moses is tackling the matter head-on, seeking $75,000 for his services and legal costs that have ballooned to over $150,000.

In a move straight out of the playbook of legal action, Moses's lawyers have expressed concerns to the court about Brown's ability to foot the bill if he loses the case.

Currently playing on a "train and trial contract" with Manly for the 2024 season, Brown's financial scrum might be looking a little shaky.

Will Brown emerge victorious in this legal scrum, or will Moses get the conversion kick he's been waiting for? Only time will tell in this gripping off-field battle in the world of Rugby League.
