Manly pair's wings clipped by NRL judiciary

Sea Eagles pair charged by NRL judiciary

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

The Sea Eagles are in hot water after their star players, Haumole Olakau'atu and Daly Cherry-Evans, were charged by the NRL judiciary.

The pair are up against a two-game ban for a Dangerous Throw on Shaun Lane from the Eels.

This is a Grade 2 offence, which means they could be sidelined for three games if they choose to fight the charge and lose.

It's a tough blow for Manly, who will have to dig deep to fill the void left by these key players.

Meanwhile, the Parramatta duo of Ryan Matterson and Maika Sivo also found themselves in the firing line.

Matterson is looking at a $1,000 fine for a high tackle, while Sivo is facing a $3,000 fine for Dangerous Contact.

It's a tough lesson for all players involved, reminding them of the importance of playing clean and within the rules of the game.

Let's see how the Sea Eagles and Eels bounce back from this setback, as they look to tackle their next opponents head-on.
