Manly Leagues soar high in Sydney Shield debut

The Sea Eagles have certainly made a splash in their inaugural season, notching up eight wins out of 18 games under the helm of rookie coach Anthony Watmough.

Ending the season on a respectable 20 points, the team was just a whisker away from breaking into the top five.

Backed by the strong support of Manly Leagues, Manly Warringah Rugby League Football Club, Manly Warringah Junior Rugby League, and Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, the new team is poised for success in the upcoming seasons.

For many greenhorn players in the Manly Leagues squad, 2024 was a baptism of fire as they faced off against more seasoned rivals in the men's open-age competition.

With an average age of 19, these young guns have certainly shown potential for greatness in the years to come.
