The Manly Sea Eagles are facing significant challenges in their pre-season preparations.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the club's plans have been thrown into disarray due to severe storms and flash flooding that caused extensive damage to Sydney's Northern Beaches over the weekend.
Heavy thunderstorms hit the region on Saturday night, with Narrabeen being particularly hard-hit, leading to evacuation orders and the closure of numerous sporting facilities.
Floodwaters are predicted to take several days to clear, and additional rain is anticipated in the near future.
The Sea Eagles had recently returned from a pre-season training camp in Mudgee but are now required to implement contingency plans as conditions worsened.
On Sunday morning, both players and staff, many of whom are locals, were evaluating the situation and waiting for updates on when normal training could safely resume.
Training sessions at Brookvale Oval have been modified, with early-morning field exercises relocated indoors to the club's Centre of Excellence, allowing the field surface some time to recover.
