"Mam's journey back to the field is taking a different road, starting with a stint in the construction industry rather than the rugby league pitch.
The news has surfaced that Brisbane Broncos playmaker Ezra Mam has left rehab and is now wielding a hammer in his new role as a carpenter.
After a tumultuous car accident in mid-October, Mam found himself in rehab following failed drug tests.
Charged with driving under the influence and driving without a license, Mam has not been benched by the NRL's no-fault stand-down rule, allowing him to keep training.
However, instead of hitting the field, Mam is hitting the tools.
Former player Scott Sattler broke the news on SEN Radio, shedding light on Mam's current off-field pursuits.
Mam's journey to redemption may be taking a different path, but only time will tell if he can hammer out a comeback in the rugby league arena."
