Mam grateful for chance to rewrite his grand final script

In the 2023 grand final, Ezra Mam was just 23 minutes away from celebrating a significant milestone in his career, standing on the brink of being named player of the match after netting a hat trick to help secure the Broncos a premiership.

However, NRL fans are well aware of how the match unfolded, with Nathan Cleary delivering an exceptional individual performance that propelled his Panthers to a dramatic 26-24 come-from-behind victory.

This year, Mam appreciates the opportunity to rewrite that narrative as the Broncos aim to overcome the pain of last year's loss by facing off against the Storm on Sunday.

He played a crucial role in thwarting Penrith's pursuit of a five-peat. Coming off the bench in the preliminary final, he contributed to the Broncos' 16-14 comeback victory. Mam began this season by missing nine games due to a suspension for violating the NRL Code of Conduct. Additionally, he suffered a hamstring injury in Brisbane's Round 23 clash against the Storm, yet he made a surprisingly swift recovery, with the focus now shifting to the grand final.
