The New Zealand Warriors have announced their NSW Cup Team List, with front rower Zyon Maiu'u making a triumphant return after a two-match suspension.
Maiu'u, a rising star at just 20 years old, was red-carded for a high tackle in a preseason match against the Wests Tigers but is now back in action for the Warriors' clash with the ladder-topping Raiders at Seiffert Oval this Saturday.
Having cut his teeth in the SG Ball Cup last year, Maiu'u impressed in the New South Wales Cup by playing in every one of the Warriors' 27 matches, coming within a whisker of the grand final.
His return couldn't come at a better time for the team as they face a challenging period after a mixed start to the season.
After a thrilling last-minute win over Newtown in the opening round, the Warriors suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of North Sydney last Sunday.
With Maiu'u back in the mix, the team will be looking to bounce back and show their true potential on the field.
