Brisbane Broncos coach Michael Maguire is hopeful for some "luck" regarding star playmaker Ezra Mam's injury, emphasizing that he has the necessary players to keep the team's finals aspirations alive after a challenging match in Melbourne.

Maguire faced a significant concern after his team suffered three hamstring injuries during the game, including two occurring on the same play in the first half involving key players Adam Reynolds and Ezra Mam. Additionally, Selwyn Cobbo was injured just two minutes before the match concluded, contributing to their 22-2 defeat against the Storm.

This situation leaves the Broncos greatly weakened ahead of their crucial match against the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.

"It was crazy to be honest," Maguire remarked regarding the trio of hamstring issues in a single match.

"I've never experienced that."

Maguire was so taken aback by the incident that led to Reynolds and Mam's early departures that he hadn't even considered how the Broncos' halves pairing would be structured for the upcoming game against the Dolphins.

"I'll talk to the players and we'll go through that," he added.
