The boys from Western Suburbs Magpies have notched up another hard-fought victory in Round 23 of the NSW Cup, taking down the Knights with a scoreline of 22-14 in Newcastle.
The Novocastrians got on the board first with a try from Hayden Sutton, but the Magpies weren't about to let them run away with it.
David Armstrong added to the Knights' lead, catching the Magpies off guard on their right edge.
But teenage sensation Josh Feledy showed his strength and determination, muscling his way over the line for Wests' first try of the afternoon, keeping the visitors in the game.
Trailing 8-4 at halftime, the Magpies came out firing in the second half.
Lachlan Broederlow and Tino Tavana both notched up their first tries at the NSW Cup level, while Jayden Sullivan's precise pass set up Declan Casey for another try.
With a lead of 20-8 and just 11 minutes left on the clock, the Magpies seemed to have the game in the bag.
However, the Knights weren't done yet, managing to score a length-of-the-field try through Riley Jones to set up a tense finish.
In the end, the Magpies held on to secure their fifth win of the season, showing grit and determination on the field.
It was a performance that their loyal fans in the stands would have been proud of, as they continue to fight for their place in the NSW Cup.
